From Met Eireann today: “The weather will be very unsettled on FRIDAY NIGHT, SATURDAY and SUNDAY and MONDAY. All areas will get heavy or thundery showers or longer spells of rain at times and flooding will be likely in places. Daytime temperatures will range from about 10 to 14 degrees. Winds will be variable in direction and will increase fresh to strong at times.”
So NOT Wicklow Round weather… And I’m so bored and tired and frustrated and annoyed at waiting for the weather to be okay for a Wicklow Round go. All I need is for just 24 hours for Wicklow to be dry, for the winds to be low, and to have a bonus bit of moon for the night. I’m not even asking for any sun or blue skies or warm weather. I’m just asking for there to be no wind or rain for only one day.
Unfortunately, in Ireland, during the summer, this is obviously too much to ask.
Hi Moire, trying to find an email address to contact ye but can’t. Would appreciate it if you could drop me a line…
Cheers, McCloy
Maybe it should be a condition of the Round, that there has to be rain. It is Ireland after all.
Well Andrew, at least it would be a condition for the Round that be easy to fulfil – unlike all the other conditions…
